Where is East Austin? East Austin is located East of IH 35 and runs to the Bastrop county line, between Hwy 71 and Hwy 290. This is an eclectic area with many changes happening. The Old Austin Airport, Mueller, was located in East Austin and is now a new neighborhood with shops, trails and parks. The city has done some revitalization in parts of East Austin. Many people are purchasing older, rundown properties and re-purposing them or remodeling them. Although, there is a culture in East Austin that is not found in any other part of Austin making it a unique area of town. Embrace East Austin’s character, it is a lot of fun.

There are four farms in East Austin, Boggy Creek Farm, Springdale Farm, Rain Lilly and HausBar Farm. This is a real treat for those who live in the area. Most of the farms have market days when you can purchase organic produce, although many people come from all over the city.
